Richard Hutten. Biographical notes 

Born in Zwollerkerspel (Netherlands) in 1967, Richard Hutton studied industrial design at the Eindhoven Design Academy. He is now widely recognised as one of the most respected and admired players on the international state, and has been a core member of the Droog Design group since 1993. His projects, made for companies and exhibition spaces the world over, and presented both in collective and solo shows, range from industrial design to product design and interior design. His work can be seen in some of the most important international collections, such as the Vitra design Museum in Weil am Rhein, the Design Museum in London, MoMA New York and MoMA San Francisco, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, the Lisbona  Design Museum and the Neue Sammlung, in Munich. Among his most recent work and his work in progress are furniture series for  Lensvelt Office Furniture, Gispen Office Furniture, Dietiker, TNT post, Christofle Paris, cutlery for Royal VKB, fabrics for Väveriet,and the interior design of the architecture practice MVRDV’s new studio in Amsterdam, the MGH2O shop and the Lloyd hotel bar.
